Shopping with a conscious: Etsy for Animals

Shopping with a conscience and shopping for a cause are two of my favorite things. Shopping for your pets is so much for fun knowing that in some small way you are helping artists who help animals.

Just who are those magnificent, big-hearted crafters?

Team Etsy for Animals!

It’s all that hand-crafted Etsy one-of-a kind goodness you already love Etsy for, but more. Lots more. But how could Etsy be any more fabulous, you ask?

Add one ingredient: Animals!

But more than that these are artists that not only create gorgeous gifts, but they do it for animals. A percentage of each sale goes to the animal charities that the artists support.

What’s really cool about artists who love animals is, not only are they just plain fabulous people, but they care about more than just pets, they care about the planet. Many of their goodies are environmentally conscious, up-cycled, non-toxic, chemical free, and best of all made with lots and lots of love.

I went virtual shopping trip this morning on Etsy for Animals and look at what I found: Oodles of adorableness for you and your pets.

To find out more about the items, each image is titled with the name of the Etsy store.

Who are these amazing Etsy for Animals artists?

Etsy for Animals (EFA) aka Artists Helping Animals, is a team of independent artists, craftspeople, vintage sellers and craft suppliers on Etsy.com who are dedicated to providing charitable relief to animals by donating a portion of the profits from their shops to an animal charity of their choosing, and/or to EFA’s featured Charity of the Month.

All Team EFA members donate a portion of the profits, either from specific listings or from their overall shop inventory, to an animal charity of their choosing, and/or to EFA’s featured Charity of the Month. Specific information about donation percentages and chosen animal charities can be found either in their product listings or in their Shop Announcements.

Many members of Team EFA work with or for animals in one shape or another. You can find out about each member by reading their profiles under Shopping Categories. A few examples of that work are:

  • Animal advocacy work
  • Animal foster work
  • Animal volunteer work
  • Crafting for the benefit of animals
  • Creating habitat for animals
  • Donating goods to animal charities and/or organizations
  • Fund raising for animal charities and/or organizations
  • Participating in Team EFA’s Charity of the Month Program
  • Providing a permanent home for rescue animals

Enough with the details – I want to shop EFA artists!

  • To find Team EFA sellers on Etsy.com search with our team tag: Team EFA
  • To view items that benefit their Charity of the Month (COTM) search: Team EFA COTM

We are bringing heart to commerce and making the world more fair, more sustainable, and more fun.”
